82 year old John has owned his small Tapu Bay bach for 30 years, but is facing losing it after the TDC voted 9-4 to tear it down in 3 months. John only asked to keep the bach until his death, with Mayor Richard Kempthorne and Motueka Community Board Member David Ogilvie supporting this proposal. John even said he would cover the $3000 removal bond of the 115 year old bach, located on part of the council esplanade reserve .

According to some Council members however, this may set a precedent. But we don't think this is right. Sign the petition to tell the TDC councillors to save John's Bach!
