Why are the anti-abortion laws getting more attention than the child abuse laws??

Why are the drug dealers getting life sentences for selling narcotics to people who choose to do the drugs??v

November 2010, 2 year old Carlos DeLaRosa received a life sentence that no one can appeal. His young life was taken by his own uncle, some one who he trusted an looked to as a father.

They said that he was remorseful for what happened, and that it was an accident, but when the officers first asked Mark if he struck Carlos or violently shook him, He adamantly said he had not, and attempted to put the blame on his mother saying that she hurt Carlos before dropping him off with Mark. Then later changed his story and said that "he might have fallen while playing outside in the backyard." After being notified of Carlos death, he finally told detectives that he "grew angry because Carlos kept begging to go outside. He then forcefully threw him onto a cheap mattress in a dark room, not knowing exactly where he fell and shut the door behind him and that Carlos cried for at least 10 minutes, he later picked him up, took him outside and roughly sat him down on the concrete. But Carlos looked dizzy and fell back, and that was the first time he realized something was wrong".

Doctors said that Carlos had a broken clavicle from a prior incident, which he sustained in a car crash weeks before, but yet he died from much more recent and severe blunt force injuries, including severe head trauma causing significant brain injuries, and liver damage that doctors said would have only been generated by violent shaking or another type of forced impact.

For 2 days we watched Carlitos lay there in the hospital, hoping and praying for a sign of recovery, but it was far too late, Little Carlos was already gone, and all we could do was gather around to say our goodbyes and let him be put to rest.

An for that, Mark Paniagua was sentenced to ONLY 13 years in prison for the murder of Carlitos.

But, tell me, How do u throw a 2 year old child, who has cast on both of his legs, (due to a birth defect) into a dark room and with so much force that it kills him, by accident?? And then close the door behind you, only to hear him cry himself to his own death!!

And then lie about it!! Possibly causing delay in him getting the right medical treatment that could have possibly saved his life.

At the age of 2 years old, little Carlitos laid on the floor of that cold dark room, hurt, confused, scared and all alone, crying for help, and the only person who could have possibly done something to help him, simply closed the door and walked away, as he cried himself to his final sleep.

Mark is a MONSTER who doesn't deserve to live his life free after he took the life of an innocent baby! This was far more than an accident, this was some type of hate!

This wasn't the first time Mark had done something like this to a child, The mother of Mark's three children, admitted that a few years prior to this incident, Mark had abused one of their own children, and that she had to take their daughter to the hospital and Doctors found injuries to the little girls legs, including a spiral fracture, so severe that Child Protective Services became involved, and both her and Marks parental rights to the child were terminated.

Mark also has prior arrests for drug possession, criminal mischief and assault, and was also charged with felony injury to a child and the murder of Carlitos.

As of this month, Mark has completed his sentence.

He'll be able to walk free, an continue on with his life, watching his kids grow an become young adults. He'll be able to do all the things that we will never be able to do with Carlos.

Why was there no justice for Carlos??

How many other kids are going to have to loose their innocent lifes before somebody stands up an says 'This is enough'!!

Carlos didn't have a chance to fight back...

It may be too late to save him, but it will never be too late to fight back, for Carlos, an all the other children out there who have been or who could become the next victims of child abuse.

13 years is not long enough for this type of crime. There are more people out there like Mark, who are selfish, hateful, careless and that may feel so insecure about them self that they may feel over powered by their own anger, that they let any little thing get to them and they end up taking it out on another innocent child because by that, they feel like they can't be defeated. But, thru us they will be defeated.

Our children depend on us to protect them, not to hurt them.
