On October 5, 2024, popular online streamer Jack Doherty was streaming Kick where he was driving on a highway in his recently purchased McLaren, which according to Doherty is valued at over $200,000. In the stream, he is shown on his phone, while driving in poor conditions. Mr. Doherty then accelerates the gas pedal, and then crashes the car into a guardrail. 

After the crash, Mr. Doherty and his cameraman Michael go out of the vehicle and take a look at the damage. Michael is shown on camera to bleed from his face as a result from the crash. Meanwhile, Doherty asks Michael to continue filming the stream, showing that Jack cares more about promoting his accident, over his employee injury caused by Doherty's negligence. 

After the accident, Doherty's account was permanently banned from Kick due to him promoting endangerment on the stream. Note that the title of the petition is exaggerated for engagement and promotion of the issue. In Florida, if a driver earns 12 points in a 12 month period, their license will be suspended for 30 days. It is currently unclear how many points this will rack up, due to this being an ongoing situation.
