Dear supporter of this petition
Thank you for your unwavering support to stop farm murders in South Africa. I have good news for you early in 2018.
A group of Christian activists in Cape Town have come together to form the SFM (STOP FARM MURDERS) Human Rights Action Group to plan our first international conference/camp on a well-developed farm in Franschhoek.
On behalf of the SFM Human Rights Action Group, I hereby wish to invite you to attend our camp/conference in Franschhoek, Cape, which is taking place during the weekend of 23-25 February 2018.
Our first conference/camp will be small and intimate so we will only be able to accommodate the first 500 supporters who register for the event.
SFM Human Rights Action Group is a non-racial, Christian based Action group which consists of committed Christian activists. We believe in prayer and Bible study, but when mass action is needed to defend our basic human rights in terms of our country’s constitution, we are ready and willing to do so. Our action group is not aligned to any political party, but if a party adopts and practices policies that are biblically based and which promotes Christian norms and values, we will not hesitate to support such policies.
The camp/conference is being held on a farm in Franschhoek, which has a modern, air-conditioned conference Center with all the needed facilities (See: http://www.bridgesworldwide.org/south-africa/retreat-centre/) and we are expecting about 250 farmers from throughout South Africa.
The theme of the camp is: ‘FARM MURDERS AND HUMAN RIGHTS IN SOUTH AFRICA’.
On Friday, 23rd of February we will start with the first two sessions:
Session 1 - Introduction: I will open the conference with the first address on “Why do we need an International Commission of Inquiry by the United Nations and the importance of our petition to the UN”.
Session 2 – “The origin and impact of Black Monday (GENOEG IS GENOEG / ENOUGH IS ENOUGH)” to be addressed by Talita Basson and Daniel Briers.
On Saturday, 24 February 2018, there will be the following sessions:
Session 3 – “Are we facing a genocide in South Africa? What are the true statistics of farm murders in South Africa and why our government not keeping accurate statistics” – We have approached AFRIFORUM & TAU to speak on this subject.
Session 4 - International petitions to: The United Nations and to President Macron (France) – by Talita Basson and myself.
Session 5 – Will start with several testimonies of families who lost loved ones as a result of farm murders, and survivors will tell of failed murder attempts.
This will be followed by a panel discussion on the theme: ‘What solutions do political parties provide to stop farm murders in RSA’.
The panel will consist of representatives of many of the political parties in Parliament: The ANC; DA; IFP; UDM; FREEDOM FRONT+; NFP; COPE; and ACDP. We emailed these invitations to the above parties.
After each party’s political input of 15-20 minutes, there will be a panel discussion of about an hour during which time the conference members will have the opportunity to pose questions to the various speakers.
We trust you will be able to attend this vital International conference on Human rights in South Africa.
If you cannot attend the conference but you would love to sponsor a delegate, please write to: The Convenor of the SMF Human Rights Action Group at louisgreen69@gmail.com and we will direct you how to make the donation.
