Dear Supporter of the PETITION TO STOP FARM MURDERS
Thank you for your loyal support!!
To date, we have over 100,000 signatures to our petition. We could not do this miraculous feat without your support!!
MASS PUBLIC ACTION COMBINED WITH PRAYER IS PLANNED ON THE DAY OUR PETITION OF OVER 100,000 SIGNATURES WILL BE HANDED OVER TO THE PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA AND THE MINISTER OF POLICE AT PARLIAMENT.
The most important function of any government is to maintain law and order within the borders of the country it governs and to ensure that all its citizens live in relative peace and safety.
Our government, the South African government, has miserably failed all its people in this regard by what we can observe daily:
FARM MURDERS ARE CONTINUING UNABATED;
GANG RELATED MURDER AND VIOLENCE IN TOWNSHIPS ARE OUT OF CONTROL;
PRIVATE SECURITY COMPANIES ARE PROVIDING BETTER PROTECTION TO OUR CITIZENS THAN OUR OWN POLICE FORCE;
CRIME AND CORRUPTION ARE CREATING THE CONDITIONS THAT IS PUSHING OUR NATION INTO A SPIRALLING VORTEX OF DISPAIR.
We are opposed to all forms of violence and crime, BUT IN THIS PETITION the emphasis is placed particularly on farm murders because we consider agriculture to be a strategic industry that supplies the people of South Africa with food and without them, we will face starvation, without a doubt.
On Monday, 30th of October 2017, many South Africans in general and the vulnerable agricultural community in particular, said ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, drew a line in the sand with the protest action to send a clear message to our government that the current state of affairs cannot continue indefinitely.
Our present government and its law enforcement agents have lost their legitimacy to govern and are not performing their Constitutional duty of keeping the country’s citizens safe.
AND THIS IS THE MAIN REASON WHY WE HAVE THIS PETITION!
It is a form of mass protest action.
Our PROTEST is peaceful, yet urgent. This petition is a call to all South Africans to join hands, regardless of their race or political convictions to STOP THE FARM MURDERS.
Our present government has had the opportunity to govern for 23 years; and at first it looked promising, but now it is clear for all of us to see, that the time has come for our present government to be replaced with a multiparty government representing all race groups in all the nine provinces as well as on national level.
Until then, we will continue to mobilize our communities to effectively resist all forms of crime and violence against them.
In conclusion, I wish to pray Psalm 91 for you and your family:
Psalm 91:1-2 (KJV)
“ 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.”
Be Blessed
Kind Regards
