This campaign is to try and make prostate cancer screening mandatory to give men a fighting chance. The reticence of the powers that be to implement such a programme has always been based on the grounds that the current test (PSA) is not accurate enough. This proposed new urine test is twice as accurate and it is said, can even give an indication of the size of the tumour. It's a urine test that can give results within 2 minutes with an estimated cost of £10. This just may be the development that paves the way to routine screening for prostate cancer which is what we all want.
