Afghanistan has suffered an unthinkable tragedy.  Pregnant women, mothers and newborn infants were murdered by terrorists in the Dasht-a-Barshi maternity hospital.  Muslims are the most common victims of terrorist attacked, and in this case the neighbourhood that houses the hospital is home to many members of Afghanistan's Hazara community, a mostly Shia Muslim minority that has been attacked by ISIL in the past, including at a Kabul ceremony commemorating the death of one of its leaders in March.

I have started a fundraising page for MSF (Doctors without Borders) who run this Kabul maternity clinic. 

I am hoping to raise a significant amount of money to support the work MSF does in Afghanistan. We cannot bring back the innocents who were murdered, but we can prevent future maternal and infant mortality in one of the worlds most disadvantaged countries.
