Dear signatories 

Our petition will be presented to Senator Mehreen Faruqi tomorrow.  Senator Faruqi is the first female Muslim senator in Australian history, and her inclusive, intelligent and strong approach constitute the type of leader Australians are proud to have representing them.

Senator Faruqi has been an outspoken advocate against islamophobia and discrimination.  She will table our petition in parliament, bringing it to the attention of the major parties.  We hope that it will add weight to calls for a parliamentary code of conduct.
