Petition for an immediate nation-wide vaccination programme involving public and private healthcare facilities.

We the Rakyat demand for our right to protection against COVID-19, with an immediate and full roll out of a nationwide mass vaccination programme, as proposed by the Federation of Private Medical Practitioners’ Association of Malaysia (FPMPAM) in its media release dated 28.5.2021.

It is time for our Ministers to wake up to the unfolding disaster of the pandemic in Malaysia, and admit to their mistakes which have resulted in the sky-rocketing number of infections and deaths. Mortuaries are overflowing. The scene is apocalyptic.

Let us forget digital applications that do not work, causing bottlenecks instead. SPEED is KEY. We demand for more centres for vaccination, including all Klinik Kesihatan, hospitals and GP clinics. Government healthcare facilities can work together with private hospitals and practitioners to achieve critical mass quickly.

At the same time, efforts should be stepped up to educate the Rakyat on the benefits of vaccination. The alarming number of ‘no-shows’ at vaccination centres in some states reflect the failure of the authorities in providing accurate information to the masses.

The people of Malaysia must be urged and allowed to see the doctor nearest to their home, get assessed, vaccinated and then have the information updated in the MySejahtera app. We want immediate action by the Government, before it is too late.
