We have had several incidences recently of lost and stolen dogs being recovered but not reunited with their owners because the microchips have never been registered on a database.
It is imperative that you check that your pets microchip has actually been registered on a DEFRA compliant database, don't just assume it has.
It is also imperative that the contact data is accurate and up to date.
It is heartbreaking to lose a pet at all let alone because you haven't checked that its registered.
