Make a law for emotional support dogs

The Issue

I suffer from panic attacks and Agoraphobia. I can not go to crowded places so I and my husband have to go grocery shopping in the evening when it is not too many people in the store. My panic attacks start with a feeling of out-of-body feeling and loss of time. After that, I get chest pain and difficulties to breath. However, I noticed that my dog can sense when I get these panic attacks so she comes and licks my hand or stroke my leg BEFORE I get a full-blown panic attack. She helps me and supports my illness by forcing me to concentrate on her. I want to be able to take my support dog with me everywhere I go so that I too can go shopping for my own clothes during day time or go and have a pub lunch during the daytime.

Fenn Flyer wrote like this in his petition:

"An Emotional Support Animal is a pet that helps alleviate symptoms of a mental or emotional disability through companionship and affection. Sadly, unlike in America, Emotional Support Animals are still not recognised as certified assistance animals in the UK. This means that the rules that apply to other assistance animals, such as guide dogs, do not apply to emotional support pets. This means that for people with all kinds of illness, be it schizophrenia, bipolar, anxiety, ANYTHING- they have no rights to have their emotional support pet.

Mental Health IS a disability. Just like any other. Just because you can't always see it doesn't mean it isn't there...

THIS PETITION HOPES TO BRING LEGAL RECOGNITION TO EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS IN THE UK"

Thank you, Flynn, for your words. As I read somewhere, I need 100.000 signatures to make it a subject to talk about a change in the law

SO PLEASE HELP ME

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
