A recent resurgence of COCD19 occurred in Minuwangoda, Sri Lanka, in and around a garment factory called Brandix. Over 1000 employees in the said factory and a fair number nearby have tested positive for the virus. There is strong reason to believe that this resurgence is the result of repatriation of many SriLankans working for this company in Vishakapatnum, India to Mattala Airport from where they have disappeared without being quarantined.The DIG associated with Covid control at a panel discussion called `Aluth Parlimenthuwa' reiterated that even though the airline manifest of UL1159 of the 22nd of September 2020 had 60 passengers on it, in actual fact only 48 adults and 4 children had come on board the flight as per information he had obtained from the intelligence Services of Sri Lanka and according to him they have all been quarantined in Sheraton Hotel in Kosgoda till the 6th October 2020 and are now self isolating in their respective homes. As such we demand an independent investigation as to how these people got away in to the community without being quarantined.
