We MUST prevent the pointless and cruel murder of 80,000 street pups and cats in Serbia.

We, at Serbia's Forgotten Paws(UK - Charity Reg. No. 1156501), Tierschutz Sonne (Austria), Puppy Rescue Belgie (Belgium) and Tierjammer (Germany) have been leaked a document purporting to be a proposed amendment to the Animal Welfare Act in Serbia. This amendment would allow dog catchers to euthanise all dogs that have no individual owner within 15 days of catching them.

This is to include all dogs and cats in PRIVATE shelters, even those who have been offered homes.

We believe the Government of Serbia is using this amendment to try and quickly 'clean-up' the streets of Serbia to make them look like more favourable candidates for EU membership. THEY COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG. 

We would like to help Serbia LEAD THE WAY in animal welfare. We are offering to aid them in setting up country wide Spay, Neuter, Release (SNR) programmes. Using the government facilities of dog catchers and pound vet facilities, we believe we could humanely help Serbia get its stray population under control. PERMANENTLY.

The culture of letting unneutered pets roam free has created this problem. Massacring 80,000 WILL NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
