Dear supporter,

I hope this message finds you well. Your unwavering support for the Pilots
Pandemic petition on change.org has been truly inspiring, and we are immensely
grateful for your dedication to our cause. The impact of your collective voice has
been undeniable, and I am thrilled to share some significant developments that
have transpired in the pursuit of aeromedical reform.
During a recent Senate hearing, NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy made powerful
remarks about the mental health challenges faced by pilots, stating that quote; pilots are suffering in silence. This recognition from such a prominent figure highlights a crucial shift in awareness. Subsequently, the NTSB plans to hold a roundtable discussion on pilot mental health in December.
These developments come at a pivotal time. A recent incident involving an off-
duty Alaska pilot attempting to pull the fire handles on a commuter plane
underscores the urgent need for reform. Many pilots, like him, suffer silently due
to a system that discourages seeking help.
My personal commitment to reform stems from the tragic loss of my father and
uncle within this system. Through my podcast the Pilot’s Pandemic, co-hosted by Maddie Miller, we've had the privilege of shedding light on a topic that was long shrouded in shadows. Your stories have been a source of inspiration, and we are grateful for your courage in sharing them.
To further our advocacy, we are excited to introduce the Pilot Mental Health
Campaign (PMHC), a grassroots 501(c)(4) non-profit dedicated exclusively to
aeromedical reform. We are collaborating with inspiring advocates like Anne Suh,
a physician and mother of the late John Hauser, and many other aeromedical
reform advocates.
Exciting opportunities lie ahead, including our inaugural in-person advocacy trip
to Washington D.C. If you wish to share your story with your member of
Congress, sign up as a volunteer at pmhc.org to join us. And if you've signed our
petition, rest assured your voice will be heard as we hand-deliver these
signatures to your Representatives.
However, to make these initiatives successful, we need your support. As an all-
volunteer team, we rely on donations to fund advocacy trips, research,
communication campaigns, and more. Your contribution, regardless of size,
matters and will make a meaningful difference in our pursuit of reform.

You can make a one-time donation at www.pmhc.org/donate or set up a monthly
donation of any amount. Your generosity will play a crucial role in helping us
lobby for substantive reform.

We are excited to embark on this new phase with you. Together, let’s push reform
over the top and create lasting change.
In Solidarity,
Emma
