The Issue

In 1913 with the ratification of the 16th Amendment and passing of The Revenue Act of the same year, only 3% of Americans were subject to a federal income tax of between 1% and 6%. Before then, most of our country's needs were taken care of by tariffs rather than taxes on individual income. In 1944 the Bretton-woods agreement pegged the US dollar to gold at 35 dollars per ounce. Which was undone by Nixon when he ended the agreement which was supposed to be temporary. There have been several attempts to repeal the 16th Amendment and abolish the IRS, all of which have failed. I believe that we must look at the only other example in US history that repealing an Amendment was successful. The 21st Amendment in which subsequently repealed the 18th Amendment by giving the power back to the individual states over prohibition. Please sign my petition to follow the example of the 21st Amendment and proceed to do the following; Reestablish the Bretton-woods Agreement, Reevaluate Gold at 50,000/ounce and silver at 3,333/ounce, transform American currency from fiat into a gold-back and silver-back(15:1) physical currency making all loan companies in America obsolete, overturn the Underwood Tariff Act and institute a New Revenue Act of 2026 which would be a pivotal piece of legislation that lowers federal income tax on 3rd generation(or longer) Americans back to between 1% and 6% on individual incomes under 500,000 thousand dollars and repeal the 16th Amendment through ratifying the 28th Amendment by reintroducing higher tariffs on all foreign trade, immediately halt all foreign aid for the next 50 years, ban all immigrants currently residing in the US from receiving any Federal benefits whatsoever, put a minimum tax of 35% on all foreign born citizens, and put the power to tax property back in the hands of the individual states.
