It is so easy to get discouraged about the course of the country today.  But on this day to honor the work of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., the unfinished work, I just finished listening to the inspirational and insightful sermon delivered by Rev. William Barber.  I encourage you to listen to his important and powerful message, which hopefully you will find at the following link:

  https://open.substack.com/pub/ourmoralmoment/p/sermon-for-martin-luther-king-day?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=email

He begins with "This Ain't Right" and "We should be Troubled," moves through an explanation of our troubled and persistent history of racism and racist backlash, to conclude with a call to return to the power of love to guide us in our troubled and persistent effort to achieve the peace, justice, and basic goodness that we strive for--with the strategy that calls for White people and Non-White people to resist the evil forces that seek to divide us and come together to vote the cowards and hatemongers out of our Congress.

--But back to "This Ain't Right!" and "We should be Troubled."  When the President of the United States seriously proposes that our country invade Greenland and our elected representatives in Congress are afraid to loudly declare, "This Ain't Right!" --- we are in some Serious Trouble!

Please do what you can to support this petition and get behind and support the efforts of Rev. Barber.

Thanks!

John
