Too many children and other innocents have died as a result of carelessness and insanity.

Since the NRA has used the power of its purse to block reasonable legislation around gun control, with resulting loss of life, it is time for all reasonable people to go on the offensive.

Remember, when guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns. Then it will be easier for police to identify and arrest the outlaws. If the NRA does not like this approach, the NRA should develop a program of legislation that will ensure that civilian guns are only in the hands of sane and law-abidding citizens, are always traceable, and are designed for ligitimate use not mass killing or mass destruction.

Remember, when the Second Amendment was adopted bullets were loaded into fire arms one at a time, there were no repeating weapons and certainly no semi-automatic or fully automatic weapons.
