The issue

The Bambusea Rhythm Section have been part of the soul of Fremantle  and the wider WA music scene over the years.

From packed local venues like Rodney’s, to major festivals including Nannup Music Festival, Karnidale Circus Festival, Fairbridge and beyond, they brought people together through rhythm, energy, and a dancefloor that was always packed.

A high-energy blend of funk, rhythm & blues and psychedelic grooves that made it impossible to keep still. The kind of music you feel before you even realise you’re moving.

Not just a band: but a feeling.
A packed room.
Sweat, movement, connection.
Nights where strangers became friends.

They gave our community something real.

They lived by one simple truth:
“The People Must Dance.”

And we did.

With the news of their split, many of us feel like something is unfinished. Not the music, but the goodbye.

We are asking for one final, official farewell gig. A night for the band and the community to come together and celebrate what was created.

📍 Rodney’s Bait n Tackle in Mosman Park feels like the perfect place. A venue they’ve played many times: intimate, local, and full of good vibes.

We are asking for a proper send-off, surrounded by the people who were really there all along.

Rodney’s holds around 150 people; a full room, a full dancefloor.

If you would like to be there for one last night, add your name.

Let’s make it easy to say yes.

One last night to: Fill the dancefloor, hear their songs again, share the energy that made The Bambusea Rhythm Section what they are!

And who knows… one night back together might accidentally remind them how ridiculously special this band is (might… stir something. Just saying :P )

If you’ve ever danced, moved, or felt something at one of their concerts,  this is your chance to say THANK YOU!

If you don't know them check them out on Spotify! Come to dance with us! You will not regret it!

Add your name.
Share it.
Show them what they meant to this community. Because the people still must dance.
