We have had some important victories regarding this petition.

Firstly the law has been changed regarding police being able to have sex with victims which is a huge victory. Secondly the Royal Commission into Victoria police use of informants. We should be happy about these victories.

This petition , however, concerns police accountability. The Gobbo issue only scratches the surface of this organization. We can catch a glimpse of the cesspool of deeply unethical behavior by Victoria Police. 

This petition is about changing that culture from top to bottom. Only a more far reaching royal commission will achieve this. The ability of IBAC to do its job and give people the freedom to actually be heard by them instead of bullied and intimated by this overly powerful system, which only seeks to disenfranchise ordinary people.
