It has come to our attention that Room 5 in LA is under new ownership and that it is unclear whether or not it will continue to function as a music venue. We would like to communicate to the new owners just how passionate the artist community in LA is about saving Room 5 and keeping Joel Eckels and Shannon Torrence involved as curators/bookers.  

There is no venue like Room 5 in LA. The experience, as a listener and as a performer, is more intimate than what you find anywhere else in the city.  There is no substitute.  

We want to demonstrate to the new owners just how upset we would be to lose a venue that is very important to the music community. Room 5 is the home to so many up-and-coming musicians and a safe haven for artists in a tough town like LA. It's reputation and history is growing stronger and stronger as an acclaimed hot spot for rising talent and has helped launch many careers including Katy Perry, Sara Bareilles, The Milk Carton Kids and ZZ Ward. We care. We care deeply if it goes away.
