Our attorney has filed our legal brief this past week with the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals regarding the defense of our monument.

The next step in the process comes in early January when the attorneys for the parish present their written reply to our brief. After that, our attorney has 2-weeks to respond in writing to the parish's reply and rebut any arguments that he feels are necessary.

By early February the court will determine if we have presented enough evidence to proceed with our appeal and, if as is expected, a schedule will be established for arguments before the court. It is too early to tell how long it will take the court to make that decision.
