This is Edwin Francis Jemison a North Louisiana Confederate who at only 17 years old gave the ultimate sacrifice for what he believed in. Edwin served in the 2nd Louisiana Volunteers and was not daunted by the struggles he and his fellow Confederates faced every day. We must hold Edwin's convictions in our hearts as we continue our struggle to keep his and the memory of all Confederate soldiers alive. We must keep fighting for the Caddo Parish Confederate Monument to remain in its current place of honor and historical importance. We have just begun to fight!
