The DNRC reports some objections are valid, and other news!

This latest is from Water for Flatheads Future: Dear Neighbors, Great news for our side yesterday! The DNRC has determined that the objection filed on behalf of many neighbors by Ryan Mattick (lawyer) with the help of Mikel Siemens and Randy Overton (hydrogeologists) was deemed valid in 7 of the 8 categories. That doesn't mean the fight is over, it just means the legal process continues for the DNRC water permit. We haven't yet received word about the outcome of the many objections filed by other parties but we will keep you informed. Also, remember Water for Flathead's Future is about all of Flathead County so we are still pursuing a strategy that will keep the county safe for the long haul from unprecedented industrial water bottling. Our meeting for May 10 from 6 - 8 pm at Sykes basement is still very much on and we still need help from all of you to spread the word, sign up on the website, volunteer and donate. As I mentioned in the previous email, this is our charter membership meeting. Let's celebrate this first victory, then discuss how to achieve the ultimate victory of assuring stewardship of our shared water resources so it is available for generations to come. We are still not promoting this as a rally - first we want to "talk amongst ourselves". So spread the word among your friends and people you know. Looking forward to a great turnout!
