Hey! the water bottling plant is making news. They had gave the full link for the petition! it's nice they mentioned us, but it's kind of a shame they didn't go into some of the detailed points of what we are concerned about! I mean we have been pretty clear. We care about protecting the environment, the animals and the community. So important the work keeps spreading. Lew says "It's water, not oil"... but the problem is the water bottling business, is compared by many as the new oil business. Its the new commodity and like oil, it's not an endless resource. I'm still baffled at how they think removing this amount of water will in theory not hurt the aquifer. Kathy Olsen with the DNRC says the amount of water requested by Weaver is in line with what farmers in the area use. That just drives me crazy... farming takes the same amount of water? sure...but the water used to water the crops goes back into the ground... the water he's going to be taking now is being taken away, not returned to the earth. There's a huge difference. As for Lews "“It’s made in Montana and the trickle effect from a business in a community goes a couple different ways from health insurance to all kinds of economic values,” he said." ....... what?! seriously... what?! He's proposing how many employees? This argument doesn't make sense to me.. I may just be really tired. WHY IS NO ONE ADDRESSING THE PLASTIC ISSUE?!?! Please keep sharing and spreading the word.
