We had applied through the High Court to stop the installation of Mohandas Gandhi in Blantyre, Malawi.

The court granted temporary reprieve to stop the construction works before the statue was erected. 

Today the court has passed judgement that Mohandas Gandhi was indeed racist and that the statue cannot be installed in Malawi.

We thank all who helped to sign this petition and all those who offered their help in various ways. Gandhi has no place in the public spaces of cities and towns in the world, as he was a non-repentant bigot.
