Many thanks to all of you for all your continuing support. We thought it helpful to let you know how things are progressing with the council. As promised in his election manifesto, new mayor John Biggs took immediate steps to resolve the long-standing litigation between Tower Hamlets Council and Rich Mix. Because of the way in which local councils are required to operate, he made a decision which is then capable of being reviewed by other members of the council. The original decision was published on Monday 22nd June, and yesterday we heard that the decision has been called in for review by the council's overview and scrutiny committee. This review will take place at a meeting to be held at the council offices at Mulberry Place on Tuesday the 7th July at 5:30pm. We are still unaware of the basis of on which officers are being encouraged to settle the case, as all of the papers have been withheld from any public view. We hope that things will become clearer after 7th July, and we will of course keep you posted. Please do continue to make the case for Rich Mix and continue to tell us why Rich Mix matters to you and your communities #RichMixMatters @richmixlondon Best wishes Jane Earl Chief Executive
