On Saturday March 25, 2023, NSW Arts Minister Ben Franklin announced in the Sydney Morning Herald that the Government would "secure" the future of the Roxy Theatre. This is fantastic news, and everyone who has signed this petition, of which the Government is very much aware, can share the credit for achieving this outcome. 

However our job is not over: there may be a new government after the election on 25th March, and the Labor Party have not yet made a commitment to preserve the Roxy.

Regardless of the election outcome, the role of the Roxy Theatre Action Group, with your support, will continue to be to advocate for the retention of the Roxy as a 1500 seat live theatre with full stage facilities.  The fight is not over yet!
