We respectfully request the Nepal Government to Immediately enact "The Vegan Law" to stop COVID-19 & the Climate Change. "The Vegan Law" would entail a strict enforcement of the following:

1.  Ban All businesses causing animal suffering - (Ban meat, fish, egg, and milk industries)
2.  Ban All animal products (leather, fur, etc.) are illegal
3.  Ban All animal testing (lab, cosmetics, etc.) prohibited

Recently, UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) urged for an immediate decrease in meat and dairy consumption as a key policy response to the global warming crisis. This came about, as 7000 research study reviews by the panel of 107 leading scientists found the vegan diet to be the highest in carbon mitigation potential.

The billions of animal lives lost yearly to slaughter is morally unacceptable and causing world-ending disasters including climate change, zoonotic pandemics COVID-19, and wildfires.

कोविड-१९ एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन रोक्न “विशुद्ध शाकाहार कानून” (The Vegan Law) तत्काल लागू गरियोस भनि नेपाल सरकारसँग विनम्र अनुरोध गर्दछौं। भिगन कानुनले निम्न कुराहरु कडाईका साथ लागू गर्दछः

१. जनावरलाई पीडा दिने सबै व्यवसायहरुमा प्रतिबन्ध लगाउने – (मासु, माछा, अण्डा, र दुध उद्योगमा प्रतिबन्ध)

२. सबै पशुजन्य उत्पादनहरूमा प्रतिबन्ध लगाउने– (छाला, भुवा, आदि अवैध घोषणा गर्ने)      

३. सबै पशु परीक्षणहरुमा प्रतिबन्ध लगाउने - (प्रयोगशाला, सौन्दर्य प्रसाधन आदिको लागि पशु परिक्षण निषेधित गर्ने)

हालसालै, संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघको जलवायु परिवर्तन सम्बन्धी अन्तर-सरकारी समिती (IPCC) का जलवायु परिवर्तन विशेषज्ञहरुले, "जलवायु परिवर्तन र भूमि" रिपोर्टमा ग्लोबल वार्मिङ्गको विश्वव्यापी संकटको समाधानाको दिशामा सबैभन्दा महत्वपूर्ण नीतिको रूपमा मासु र दुग्धजन्य पदार्थहरुको खपतमा तत्काल कमी ल्याउन आग्रह गरेको छ। विश्वका लगभग ५२ देशका १०७ वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिकहरूको सरकारी प्यानलले गरेको ७००० अनुसन्धान अध्ययनहरुको समीक्षा पश्चात के निष्कर्षमा पुगेको छ भने भिगन (विशुद्ध शाकाहरी) आहार जीवनशैलीमा कार्वन न्युनिकरण गर्ने सबभन्दा उच्च क्षमता रहेको छ।
