BACKSTORY IN A NUTSHELL:

Jarell Boyd-Ross, known as the star of "The Ross Family" Youtube channel, is currently on trial for a custody battle regarding his 8 year old baby.

Jarell and the mother of his daughter, have had several altercations which led to them breaking up, after which the daughter was then abruptly ripped out of the house that she knew as "home", with her father at only 4 years old.

After this, both have taken to Youtube to explain their version of events, on their separate channels (because they already lived a public life).

But, because Jarell feels that society does not grant fathers/men enough understanding and support; when it comes to seeing the child(ren), following a break up with the mother...  He then, after seeing the video of his ex, took it upon himself to journal and explain his position, as well as defending himself against the allegations he was accused of, on his new Youtube channel: "Rell The Chosen One". Here, he addresses and reacts to the story told by his ex - from start to current situation. This includes him explaining that he has not seen his daughter since December 11th 2021, in his Youtube video: "I Haven't Seen My Daughter In 2 Months!! I Wasn't Allowed To See Her On Valentine's Day".

The current situation is that Jarell has not seen his daughter now in a year and a half. This is the SECOND time the mother has taken his baby girl away and completely alienated him from her. In the past he’s been blocked from seeing her, phone contacts blocked, communication cut, and now she has taken the baby across state lines over 1,000 miles away. All of this to an active, involved and very loving father from the moment of her conception! He’s always been there and never once out of obligation but out of pure love and desire!

In fact, in 2022 when Jarell was kicked out of the home from being set up by the mother, he faced homelessness. He had a warm roof and place to stay in the state of New Jersey after being kicked out of his Houston, TX residence, but Jarell chose to stay in Houston and be homeless so that he can be near his daughter! For the love of his daughter, he chose struggle & hardship just to be close to his princess rather than comfort & ease being away from her. This is not only a sign of his character but a strong statement in the love he has for his daughter!

Jarell wants full custody of his daughter, because he worries about the safety and wellbeing of his child, since he realized that their child is no longer being raised and exposed to norms/values, morals and situations, they once agreed upon as parents.

As you and I both know, an absent father in any little girls life can have tremendous negative effects and outcomes for her mental health, as well as her behavior, development & adulthood. Especially when it comes to her future experiences with men.

Jarell was once homeless (due to the aftermath of situations surrounding his ex) but Jarell is currently & most definitely in the position to have his daughter back full time! She’s lived with him for over a year and a half after the mother abandoned the child and left the state! She lived with Jarell full time in a beautiful two story four bedroom house in the suburbs of Houston, Tx until she was ripped away again for child support and financial gain as well as control over Jarell. This is not only a form of mental abuse to her ex Jarell, but to their daughter as well. Who thrived in Jarell’s care but is currently suffering in her mothers care. All Jarell wants is to have his daughter & to move on with life while maintaining a healthy coparenting relationship. However, unfortunately this is not being allowed by the mother. She is only allowing their daughter to speak to her father through the telephone at times.

NO CHILD OF ANY RACE SHOULD HAVE TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF, OR SUFFER A SEPARATION FROM A PARENT. NO PARENT SHOULD KEEP A CHILD AWAY FROM THE OTHER PARENT, SOLELY BECAUSE OF A BREAK UP, AND NO OTHER APPARANT REASON. **  As we all know, fathers are often absent in black households, help prevent this from unnecessarily happening to this babygirl.
