The official name of the character is Kermit the Frog, but due to the internationalization of the Muppets and Sesame (with their different adaptations in different countries), Kermit has been constantly renamed. In Brazil, Kermit is called Caco, o Sapo. In Portugal, Kermit is called Cocas, o Sapo. In most of Latin America, Kermit is called la Rana René. In Spain he is called la Rana Gustavo. In other versions such as in Kuwait, Kermit is called Kamel (common Arabic name meaning "perfect"). Due to the above, in the launch of The Muppets (2011), Walt Disney Pictures introduced the name Kermit for all international releases and markets, leaving behind the commonly established name for the character in previous years in several countries. So fuck Disney's rules and decisions and always get what it wants.
