I am petitioning for the hearing aid industry to bring back analog hearing aids.

The hearing aid industry is obsoleting analog hearing aids, which forces people with hearing loss to purchase digital hearing aids.  This is having a devastating impact on the quality of life of people who have lived for years with the sound quality of analog hearing aids.  Digital hearing aids just don't work for everyone.

I was born with hearing loss, and have been wearing analog hearing aids for over 40 years.  I have enjoyed a lifestyle that allowed me to hear the world around me with analog hearing aids.  When I am forced to switch to digital hearing aids, the world around me becomes fake, computerized and unnatural sounding.  To put it simply, "the world just sounds dead" with digital hearing aids.

If you type a Google search for "analog hearing aids," you will quickly find many other people impacted similarly.  

Another impact of digital vs analog hearing aids is the fact that digital hearing aids are much more expensive than analog hearing aids.  I am fortunate that I can afford either option, but other people are not so fortunate.  This really makes me question the motive for the industry to obsolete analog hearing aids; does it all just come down to the fact that digital hearing aids create more revenue & profit for the industry?

I am certainly open to technology advancements and would be willing to convert to digital hearing aids if they produce the same sound quality as analog hearing aids.  Unfortunately, as of now, digital hearing aids simply do not give the same sound quality as analog.

All I am asking for is the industry to simply sell the same products they did previously!
