Rent advance payment to be capped at Six months in Ghana.

Rent advance payment to be capped at Six months in Ghana.
Das Problem
Housing deficit in Ghana continues to rise and remains a challenge to many Ghanaians seeking comfortable places to lay their heads with their families. It remains unclear if Laws that restrict House owners from charging beyond 6 months is active and still relevant.
We are drawing the attention of the President, Political leadership (both sides) and all stakeholders to collectively address this old problem and set in motion some comfort for Tenants. We need defined regulations that work and safeguard the interests of Tenants and house owners in a Win-Win situation while government mediate with support.
Poverty reduction cannot effectively materialize when housing issue are not adequately and properly addressed. We need our people to save, invest, pay their rents and still have the privilege of enjoying life without stress. Life can be pleasant if we want to.
We ask that full enforcement of the mandatory 6 months rent charge be enforced and penal measurements instituted for non- compliance and forceful eviction purposes.
We ask for deep reflections on the rising cost of housing building in Ghana and its economic implications; as this nexus is critical and remains important that a decision is taken to restore and enhance the standard of living for every Ghanaian.
EVERY INCOME MUST WORTH A DECENT LIVING AND OF COURSE, THE ECONOMIC ATTRIBUTES MATTER; HOWEVER, THE SOCIAL IMPLICATIONS ARE WIDE.
Thank you
