This event falsely portrays wolves and coyotes in an irreverent way.  It teaches our children that it is morally justifiable to murder other sentient beings that are essential to a healthy ecosystem and that have a natural right to live.  Humans are the species who have colonized wolf and coyote lands, not the other way around. This legitimizes genocide.  

By supporting this petition you can shine a light on an immoral practice that stems from outmoded and irrational thinking about the environment, the ecosystem, and all the sentient beings who live close to us. We also hope that the event organizers will reconsider and officially terminate this hunt, and all future hunts. We hope this petition leads to more scientific and moral debate about the importance of reverence toward all animals including wolves and coyotes.
