We, the undersigned, are players who believe that challenge is a core part of the gaming experience. When a game is nerfed to appease complaints, the thrill of the fight and the satisfaction of a hard-won victory are diminished for everyone. Well-designed difficulty options allow players to choose their experience; removing the high-end challenge shouldn't be the default solution. We are not asking for every game to be punishingly difficult, but we are asking that developers respect their artistic vision and their players' skill. Uphold the challenge. Don't create watered-down experiences. Let us face the trial you designed, because the struggle is what makes the triumph meaningful.
