On April 12, 2022, the world lost a beloved actor. A man who brought us joy and laughter with his unique brand of comedy and his trademark voice. Gilbert Gottfried was a man of great compassion and great humor. He lost his battle with myotonic dystrophy and had never disclosed his illness to the public. To honor him, there should be a foundation in his name to help others with his struggle. So many people suffer from this rare, often overlooked disease. We propose a foundation in Gilbert's name because he was never alone. He was one of the most loved individuals on this planet, as well as one of the most hilarious comedians. We believe it would be a beautiful way to find a blessing in light of such tragedy.
