The EU must condemn the crimes of the Iranian regime
The Issue
On the 16th of September 2022 a young 22 year old woman named Mahsa Amini (also known under her Kurdish name Jhina Amini/Zhina Amini) died because of the brutality of the Iranian morality police. Mahsa was visiting her family in Tehran, when the morality police decided to arrest her, just because her hijab was not sitting perfectly. The police beat her up so badly, that she died a few days later in the hospital. Another young life is lost because of the brutality of the Iranian regime.
Her death sparked (and still is sparking) protests all over Iran, from Kurdistan, Yazd, Tehran, Rasht to Mashad with thousands of women and men leading the demonstrations. Many women decided to take their hijab off, burn it and fight for a free and better Iran.
While Irans President Raisi is sitting right now in New York, the regime decided to partly shut down the Internet connection in Iran, leaving the protesters without access to the outside world. When the same procedure was used in the 2019 November protests, 1500 innocent were killed by the regime. In the current situation it is not possible to verify how many Iranians will be shot this time!!
Please help the Iranian people to keep fighting for freedom, peace and gender equality.
Please urge the European Parliament to condemn Irans brutal crackdown on its people and make them take a harsher stance against the Iranian regime and freedom for the Iranian people.
