Diane Dean's has been informed

Thank you everyone for your support in this cause! I'm hoping we can all reach out to our neighbors to get as many signatures as possible. I've sent an email the following to Diane Dean's: ______________________________________________________ I'm writing you because of a petition that we are circling around the neighborhood to show that the community has had enough with the through traffic on Albion heading south. I'm contacting you to see if there are any guidelines you can suggest to help this petition be successful. Do you know if an electronic petition from change.org will be valid to submit to the council of the city of Ottawa? https://www.change.org/p/the-council-of-the-city-of-ottawa-close-albion-road-at-lester-road-to-stop-through-traffic-in-our-residential-area At this point, cameras, speed bumps and even officers patrolling are not enough. Closing Albion just before Lester (leaving Lester to pass through and no stop traffic coming from Bank) will eliminate the volume of traffic and at the same time reduce the chance of drunk drivers, careless drivers or just noisy drivers of taking Albion. I understand that those traveling towards Findley Creek and Greely will be affected as they will need to stay on Bank Street up to Lester and then they have the choice of turning into Lester from there or continuing on Bank Street, but their little bit of extra travel time is a small price to pay to have our community feel safe in crossing our roads. We are not looking for excuses or suggestions, we are looking to close Albion road at Lester. Point final.
