CALLING ALL TEACHERS!

This fall, I pledge that the first lesson I teach, whether I am in a kindergarten classroom, a middle or high school, a college lecture hall, a graduate seminar, or a medical school, will be about climate change.

It might be a discussion, a story, an activity, a reflection, a science experiment, or a creative project. No matter the format, it will help students begin the year with awareness, curiosity, and a sense of connection to the world they are growing up in.

I believe that climate education is not just for science teachers. It belongs in every subject and every classroom. Our students deserve to know what’s happening to their planet and to see that their learning matters in real life.

By signing this pledge, I commit to making climate a part of how we start the school year and to supporting a generation that is informed, empowered, and ready to act.
