Mayor Garcetti has proven time and again that his actions are not to the benefit of the citizens of Los Angeles. Here are the reasons he needs to be recalled.

1. Mayor Garcetti has allowed the homelessness situation in the city to go from bad to outright inhumane. 
2. Mayor Garcetti has bowed to pressure to open public spaces while we are in the midst of a global pandemic, only to put more of its citizens in danger.
3. Mayor Garcetti has introduced a budget to give 54% of the general fund to the LAPD, a department that is at this point militarized against the people it swore to serve and protect.  
4. Mayor Garcetti has not worked hard enough to reign in the LAPD's tactics, which has caused this current crisis.
5. Mayor Garcetti called in the California National Guard to clean up the mess his own police force has created.

This is not the legal framework required to recall a sitting mayor, but it is the first step to seeing how engaged the citizens of Los Angeles are in removing someone from power who no longer represents their best interests.

I urge you to speak with your families, friends, and neighbors about this. I have heard far too many stories of innocent individuals get taken to jail. Too many stories of homeless people who cannot find a bed, while the National Guard has found shelter. Too many stories of police brutality. Change beings local. Change here. Change now.
