Gov. Pritzker, Mayor Lightfoot give "green light" to rioters, looters
Did you see Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot's press conference Friday? If you did, you know that Chicago Mayor Lightfoot AFFIRMED the right of protesters to riot and loot. These are the EXACT words from Mayor Lightfoot's City of Chicago-sponsored press conference:
"Black looting does not solve the problem of systemic racism in this that produces or protects police brutality. But for the white people who don't understand, as Martin Luther King said, riots are the language of the unheard. When we kneel peacefully, you don't like it but we still die. When we march peacefully, you don't like it but we still die. The reality is looting wasn't so bad when white people took our matriarchs and patriarchs from Africa and put them in chains in the bottom of slave ships and stole land and possessions; that was looting too. Then they made us build a country against our will that we now don't feel safe in... I can't stop blacks to stop looting until I can tell whites to start listening."
Chicago may burn again with property destruction and looting - thanks to Mayor Lightfoot's green light to the rioters who want to DEFUND the police and ELIMINATE prisons. That is the mission of Black Lives Matters.
Gov. Pritzker and Mayor Lightfoot allowed Illinois and Chicago to burn in riots and protests from downstate to the Northern suburbs and, of course, Chicago. The protests continue today as rioters, with Mayor Lightfoot's approval, take over Grant Park and Union Park - which she opened just for the protesters. These lands have been closed to citizens due to the COVID-19 shutdown but the rules are different from rioters and looters. The rules are different for these social justice "virus spreaders."
Illinois businesses are still under COVID-19 shutdown - but the rioters are not. Restaurants still cannot seat customers to capacity or indoors. Churches are restricted from opening and only can seat a handful of socially-distanced people indoors. But thousands of rioters can take over the streets, the parks, they can loot, destroy businesses and lives - and all without "social distancing." Pritzker and Lightfoot have rejected federal help from President Trump. They've refused to send in law enforcement to stop the riots and the looting, the beatings and the murders of innocent people caught in rioting cross-fire.
