To date about 150 letters have been sent, and the United Church began to reply in an attempt to explain their almost half century relationship with B'nai Brith and other pro-Israel lobby groups.

The United Church says the 1973 agreement was just the result of a legal spat. The church should read the press coverage that went on for weeks, and check their own archives. It was about shutting down the Palestine work of the United Church at the time.
