I started to question on fashion magazines since I learned how animals are handled and killed because they use popular models to wear real fur clothes again and again and stir up real fur fashion unashamedly.

Real fur is introduced on fashion magazines with titles stir readers up like "feature article about soft and pretty fur" or "trendy fur coat of the year". Even fake fur items are are published as a real fur.(※1)

Animals are not the only one who suffer from real fur products,but also humans and the earth are also suffer from pollutant generated by real fur industries.

 In order to make beautiful real fur, animals have to be skinned until its body temperature remains. Therefore, animals are being skinned even before they lose consciousness, and they cannot resist the pain and die slowly.(※2)

Hexavalent chromium and formaldehyde, generated in the process of tanning, flow into rivers, and people say that those carcinogenic substances causes cancer people live by riverside, and because of them, children lives there die early. (※3)

 Therefore, real fur products are considered as a problematic products from animal welfare point of view, social movements protest against real fur are held globally, and the number of firms quit using real fur is increasing. Popular fashion brand such as ZARA, H&M, UNIQLO, MUJI and earth music&ecology decided to quit using real fur. (※4)

 For animal rights reason, even celebrity people are becoming to avoid real fur and choose fake fur instead. Also, avoiding items surely look like "animal real fur" became an international trends. It is very dangerous to publish these kinds of harmful products continuously, and there are possibilities that editors and stylists might have chance to bear the blame for choosing the magazine to be involved.

I want them not to take their eyes off the problem, because fashion magazines are originators of new trends.
