Greetings everyone from Western NC,

I'd like to extend well wishes to you all. This is an incredibly trying time not just for NCarolinians but for all of us as a Nation and as human beings. I do hope you all and your families are safe, taking extra care if you have to leave your home, and being mindful of Official news from DHHS, CDC, NC Governor, and Federal Health experts and not buying into any hooplah. Not panicking is key, as is following the guidelines for prevention and safety. 

That said, I've added to the Petition and changed some wording to refect the CURRENT state of things, not only in NC but Nationally as well. First and foremost, I added a statement that we should not be penalized or have to pay back any sidelined mortgage or rent payments after the crisis is over. EVERYBODY is suffering from loss of income in some way shape or form, and it would be incredibly unfair for anyone to gouge others after the crisis has abated. We are all in the same boat, we should all stand on equal ground after it is over.

As I am writing this, Governor Cooper JUST announced that he has signed into effect the prevention of Utility shut-off's during this crisis. It is obvious he IS fighting for us all, WITH us all, during this crisis. I hope he will recognize our mortgage/rent need and heed our Petition as well!
