Allow cats to be elected as MPs

The Issue

Cats are intelligent animals. They're productive, e.g. they catch vermin and provide emotional support to humans (when they're in the mood to do so), are clean, and don't cause global warming.

In those cases where they have become elected officials, such as Mayor Stubbs the Cat of Talkeetna, Alaska, whom has held office for the last 15 consecutive years, government functions as well if not better than under human leadership.

Considering the ongoing stupidity and ineptitude of so many doofus human politicians, in many instances Canadians may be better served by feline representation. Therefore we the undersigned petition Parliament to amend the Canada Elections Act to allow cats to serve as sitting members of Parliament in the Canadian House of Commons.
