Jack Chng started this petition to The board of Singapore Press Holdings

We, the citizens of Singapore, take umbrage at the continued employment of Lieutenant-General Ng Yat Chung as CEO of SPH.

At a press conference held by SPH on 6 May 2021, Ms Chew Hui Min, a digital journalist from Channel NewsAsia, asked two intelligent questions with the utmost respect.

Ng immediately took umbrage at Chew's first question, went on a rant, pointed fingers and shouted, and practically scolded her. In doing so, he avoided answering both questions.

Such boorish and sneaky behaviour is unbecoming of a CEO, let alone the CEO of the publisher of Singapore's dailies.

Ng also claimed that SPH was faring well, an obvious falsehood evidenced by SPH's restructuring.

Notably, Neptune Orient Lines went bankrupt when Ng was CEO. This is quite a feat considering Singapore has one of the finest natural harbours in the world.

Ugly in word, manner and appearance, we do not concede that a man who has less talent than our collective pinky should continue to helm SPH.

One having gone bust under his watch (NOL), Ng should not be let anywhere near another of the Little Red Dot's prize jewels (SPH).

We therefore urge the board of SPH to take due umbrage at Ng's bullying, dishonesty and incompetence by sacking him without delay, lest he sink the ship of SPH as well and disgrace our country.
