Preserve Marriage - more attempts to trample on the rights of Same Sex Couples

Aug 3, 2016 — EQUALITY Definition: "the state of being equal, especially in status, rights, and opportunities". Sadly in Bermuda, the rights of a minority are being trampled on by other groups. Leading the charge on this is PRESERVE MARRIAGE. This group of people that include the Cornerstone Bible Fellowship and others are using, in some instances, ancient religious arguments to deny fellow citizens their rights. In todays ROYAL GAZETTE there is ad that would attempt to sell a bag of "INEQUALITY RIGHTS" to Same Sex Couples. They boldly declare they do not want Civil Unions or Same Sex Marriage. http://www.royalgazette.com/news/article/20160803/preserve-marriage-supports-new-gay-couple-rights Preserve Marriage are attempting to sell a bag of "INEQUALITY RIGHTS" to Same Sex Couples. Only Equality in Marriage is acceptable. Recently, PLP MP WAYNE FURBERT brought forward "legislation of discrimination" to the House of Parliament. It passed with 20 shameful MP's voting for this bill to deny equality for same sex couples. They will go down in history as individuals who trampled on the human rights of their fellow human beings in Bermuda. The Senate of Bermuda overturned the bill, thankfully. Bermuda also recently engaged in a failed "non-binding" referendum that cost the taxpayers $ 400,000. The solution is for the SUPREME COURT of BERMUDA to protect the rights of a minority.
