Did you know that once a child protection service (different names in each state/territory) closes a case, usually within the first month of placing a child/ren in kinship care, due to that child/ren now being deemed to be in a 'safe' environment, we fall off the statistics. We are no longer counted in 'out of home' statistics, nor supported in any way, neither financially, physically nor emotionally.
