The Aubrey Alert

The Aubrey Alert: Closing the Gap That Leaves Children Vulnerable

Amber Alerts have saved lives. But they can’t save every child. The criteria are strict by design — a confirmed abduction, a known suspect, a specific vehicle. That structure works in certain cases. But thousands of children in danger right now don’t fit that description.

Children being groomed.

Children being trafficked.

Children reported missing under suspicious circumstances that don’t yet meet the legal threshold for an Amber Alert.

These children are not invisible — but our current systems treat them that way.

The Aubrey Alert would change that. This proposed rapid-response alert system is designed to protect children in exactly the situations our current tools miss. It would activate when:

∙ A child is suspected of being trafficked

∙ A child is being groomed or lured into a dangerous situation

∙ A child is reported missing under suspicious or concerning circumstances, even without confirmed abduction

What I’m asking of you:

Not money. Not your time. Just your name. Every signature on this petition is a signal to lawmakers — at the state and federal level — that the public demands better protection for children.

That we refuse to accept a system where a child has to be actively abducted before anyone sounds the alarm.

I built a dedicated website for the Aubrey Alert, giving families and communities a central place to learn, take action, and connect.

Through my organization, Covert Connection LLC, I am also developing tools that make it faster and easier for people to report what they see — because early reporting saves lives.

What we’re calling for:

We are calling on state and federal lawmakers to draft and implement the Aubrey Alert System — a community-based, rapid-response program that fills the critical gaps left by existing alert systems.

Send it to your schools, your neighbors, your local representatives.

The more voices behind this, the harder it becomes for lawmakers to look away.

Children are counting on us to see them before it’s too late.
