As of July 1st, 2015 the Abbott Governments new Budget included a 122% increase to the Australian Partner VISA application fee. That's an increase of $3600 since December 2014. The reasoning behind it......not to speed up the already 10 - 12 month waiting times or make it easier for us legitimate applicants but to revenue raise and make up for overwhelming debt of the country. The visa process already requires lives to be put on hold whilst jumping through endless hoops so that we can be with our wives, husbands, partners and families. This latest price increase is just blatant exploitation. We are a captive audience.... We have no choice and the government knows it! My wife and I will now have to save for another 6 months due to the latest increase. Our lives like many others are on hold again. Love has no bounds and we will save the money.... We don't have a choice.... But maybe, just maybe, together we can stop this injustice.
