We’re really excited to kickstart a new strand of our campaign. Already, we work with local groups to spread our message. Now, we’re hitting university campuses.
Sign up to get involved: https://www.makevotesmatter.org.uk/universities-campaign
Universities have always been hotbeds of political activism. We want students to help take our campaign forward.
Once signed up, we will identify universities that have a large number of supporters and link them together. From there, they can meet up, take action or set up a Make Votes Matter society.
If you have friends or family members going to university, why not ask them to get involved? Forward this update to any students you know. We’re keen to hear from as many people as possible.
Let us know where you are studying: https://www.makevotesmatter.org.uk/universities-campaign
BONUS FACT: Up until 1950, a version of the STV system was used to elect MPs in the 'university constituencies' of Cambridge, Oxford, Combined English Universities, Combined Scottish Universities and (until 1922) Dublin.
All the best,
Owen and the Make Votes Matter team
